Buzzbike today announced the launch of a new initiative, which offers free bikes for riders from bike manufacturer Cooper.
Riders using the scheme do not pay for anything but gain 24/7 use of a single speed bike, made by Cooper. Members also get everything they need to ride – lights, a gold standard Hiplok DX bicycle lock, insurance, servicing and discounts by Buzzbike’s official kit partner Brooks.
People can begin to sign up on the Buzzbike site to become a part of this new scheme from today. They will also host a two week exhibition at the Design Museum space with a showcase of their collaborative bike designs with four creatives including Eley Kishimoto, Universal Everything, Jean Julien and Smithtown.
The Buzzbike bikes will be on the road in London from September, launching exclusively with Braintree, as the initiatives first brand partner, who will be creating a customized design that will be seen on the Cooper bikes.
As part of the initiatives launch, for the month of June Buzzbike is offering the public shares through online crowd funding platform Crowdcube, giving people the opportunity to own part of a business from £10. Following the pilot scheme, Buzzbike plan to replicate the concept in other cities.
