Future is to be the official media partner of the 2011 Amgen Tour of California.

As well as producing the official guide to the race using journalists from Procycling magazine and Cyclingnews.com, the firm will cover the race with exclusive previews, interviews, announcements and more in a dedicated section of Cyclingnews.com.

Alongside the official Tour de France Guide, the Tour of California guide will be the second official race guide produced by Future. The guide will be UK produced and available in the US and Canada during the race in May 2011.

“Publishing the official Amgen Tour of California race guide is a fantastic strategic step for us,” enthused Katherine Raderecht, group publisher of Future’s sports portfolio. “Future publishes the best cycling magazines and websites in the world and actively engages with millions of cycling enthusiasts. Adding the Amgen Tour of California to our list will extend on our reach into the US market. “We plan to make the 2011 Amgen Tour of California guide an invaluable resource to fans of the race and a great platform for marketers looking to align themselves with the race at a critical point in the cycling season.”

The 2011 Amgen tour of California is America’s largest cycling event, running from May 15th to 22nd 2011.
