Despite thieves trying to steal the show (literally) Hotlines has told BikeBiz they view their 2010 event as a great success. With ten of their brands on display including Lapierre, Ghost, Nukeproof, Ragley and Electra there was plenty for the crowds to see and do.

Thursday night saw an exclusive premiere of the Freecaster, World Cup Season DVD, with special guests filling the Brick Lane venue to enjoy the film night, which was followed by a live band, who also starred at the beginning of the DVD.

Other activities included the unique Electra ride outs, guided sightseeing tours of London, which were very popular with those visiting from out of town.

Crowd favourites at the Dray Walk gallery were the prototype Nukeproof Scalp DH bike and the new Lynskey Sportive road bike, both making their first UK appearances.

The Lapierre range was so popular that thieves couldn’t wait for them to hit the shops later this month and took four of them, along with a total of six bikes and what Hotlines describes as a 'true work of art' hanging on the gallery wall - the Lynskey Helix frame.

A caller from London who has seen and approached a gentleman riding the stolen Lapierre Team DH bike has contacted Hotlines and police are following this lead.

Newly appointed marketing man Will Longen told BikeBiz: "We would like to ask anyone who may be able to help with the police enquiry, or sees any of the stolen bikes, to contact either Hotlines headquarters on 0131 319 1444, or the policeman in charge of the case, Detective Sergeant Jones on 0208 2174113."
