How about this for an IBDs incentives trip?

It's a two-week holiday package to South Africa with guanteed entry to the Cape Argus Cycle Tour. This is a 109km event through stunning countryside and attracts 35 000 participants year, the world's largest timed cycle race. A South African/Zambian company has 14 places to shift before February and will give a healthy discount to any company booking 10 or more places. For giving to IBDs who walk the talk, this would be an expensive but extremely memorable incentives trip (or a great holiday idea for individuals looking for a Spring break with a difference)

Phil Liggett (who's holidaying in South Africa right now) commentates at the Cape Argus tour and he reckons it's one of the most scenic bike races in the world.

Entires for the 2002 event are now closed, but National Travel has 14 places in a Cycle Tour package deal.

The booking payment deadline is February 10th 2002.

The package can also include cycling through the wild African bushveld with experienced game trackers, training rides at altitude through the scenic Magaliesberg Valley, cycling coastal routes around the spectacular Cape Peninsula plus safari game drives, bush barbeques, yacht sundowners, massage and reflexology, a balloon safari, and luxurious accomodation.

Marnie Bull of National Travel told bikebiz.co.uk that the Cape Argus Cycle Tour is an excellent promotional opportunity for bike suppliers:

"A field of 35 000 cyclists from all over the globe plus the many thousands of keen spectators make this race a highlight of the serious and amateur cyclists' calendar."
