New for this year, the European Village at Interbike Las Vegas is fully booked and includes a number of first-time exhibitors like Derby Groups' Focus brand, Lapierre from Accel, and BH Bikes from Spain. UK exhibitors include Pashley, Carradice, Brompton, Airnimal, Hope, ProCycling, Ison and Omega Cycles. PLUS: first details of the official Interbike party.

Interbike 05: European Village full; industry riders sought for hill climb

Interbike has a Germany-based sales agent selling on the show, Uwe Weissflog of inMotion mar.com.

Show director Lance Camisasca said:

"The Interbike event is looking to be the best event in my eight year tenure. Pre-registration is at an all time high and we are nearly sold-out of exhibit space. Enthusiasm for this year’s event is very strong."

Interbike is hosting a party at this year’s OutDoor Demo. The Desert Dust-Off will be held 4-6:30pm on the first evening of the demo. There will be plenty of cold beer and food. Recording artist Willie Porter will entertain the hordes.

"Beforehand, we are launching an industry hill climb, via the fire road that winds to the top of the 1100 metre summit," said Camisasca, using metric measurements, clearly getting into the Euro groove.

"We will crown winners of ten rider profile categories from the party stage. We anticipate having roughly 1000 attendees at the party and we are shooting for 100 riders in the hill climb."

It requires a plug-in and works best with a broadband connection but is worth the fuss.
