The cycle trade show, staged in Las Vegas, has issued an open invitation to bike industry based strummers, drummers, pluckers and vocal artistes: send in a demo tape. The best get to play at Interbash 2004, during Interbike. Unfortunately neither Bicycle (the US cycle-touring band) or Kraftwerk (the German electronica band more into bikes than music) will be eligible. At least one member of the band must work in the bicycle industry.

Interbike in call for industry musicians

Featuring live music, free beer, food, silent auctions, raffles and other special events, InterBash 2004 will be held in place of InterbikeÂ’s Annual Industry Party and the Annual Bicycle Industry Awards Celebration on Wednesday, October 6th, in the Venetian HotelÂ’s Veronese Ballroom.

The plan is for Interbash to "bring the entire industry together while also raising funds for advocacy," said Lance Camisasca, Interbike’s show director.

Proceeds from the auctions and raffles will benefit Bikes Belong – the US bicycle industry’s advocacy group.

Send demo tapes – or email GarageBand tracks – to:
