30th annual running of US show attracts 4000 stores, and 550 journalists, including one from Playboy magazine.

Interbike in numbers

The 2011 edition of Interbike was a success said show managing director Pat Hus:

"The show went beyond expectations and reflects a tremendously strong marketplace.

“There was a new flavour to Interbike and people sense that. There was an enthusiasm and upbeat attitude at the show and orders were being written. Beyond that, successful events like the industry party and Cross Vegas and packed seminars show that people come here not only for product and sales, but also to garner education and network and just generally celebrate cycling.”

Interbike attracted 23,000 total attendees and 1,200-plus exhibiting brands. Preliminary attendance numbers show nearly 4,000 unique stores represented at the show and the total number of buyers at more than 11,000. International buyer attendance from outside the United State was more than 1,300.

More than 550 journalists and bloggers attended Interbike, including journalists from publications such as Consumer Reports, Outside Magazine, ESPN, Wired Magazine, Mashable.com, The Huffington Post, Playboy and MSNBC.

BikeBiz.com published 11 live stories from the show floor.

Interbike will return to Las Vegas with the OutDoor Demo on September 17-18 2012 in Boulder City, Nevada, followed by the Interbike Expo, September 19-21 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
