At Eurobike back in the summer a number of Knog's competitors - of which there are many - tried to get a peak at the Australian company's new lighting range. They were unsuccessful but they can now console themselves with the following info.
Knog's new LED lights are called Blinders. The first available will be the Blinder 4 which is waterproof and is USB-rechargeable.
The 35g Blinder 4 has an anodised aluminum face over a lens that is sonicly welded to a polycarbonate housing. The over molded silicone strap has a stainless steel clip with a tool-less camber attachment suitable for bicycle front bars and rear posts of 22–35mm.
Packed with four super bright LEDs, the Blinder 4 pumps out 80 Lumens of front light and 44-Lumens of rear light. Its optimized optic focuses the beam and directs the light. The recharge lasts for three hours in constant beam, and up to 50-hours in eco-flash mode. A full recharge takes five hours.
The Blinder 4 has a tactile button that provides longer feedback to prevent the light from turning on or off unintentionally and a last mode memory function.
Five models of the Blinder 4 will be in store from March 2012. Expect them to retail around $45 (US).
In the UK, Knog is distributed by Moore Large.
