Labour leader’s Christmas card features snowy bike scene

If you’re on Jeremy Corbyn’s Christmas card list – which is substantially longer than it was last year – you can look forward to a card featuring a snow-covered bicycle. The Labour leader is a firm believer in the sanctity of cycling but his first official Christmas card has had the mass media in a spin – newspapers from across the political divide have poured scorn on the choice of image.

While other political leaders choose family photos Corbyn went with a stock photo from Getty Images. Yup, it’s not one of Corbyn’s actual bikes. (He has two.)

The image was taken outside Queensway tube station in London in 2009.
