The London Cycling Campaign has praised Barack Obama’s green credentials ahead of the president elect’s inauguation today.
The keen cyclist is expected to take a hard line on reducing carbon emmisions in the US.
LCC communications officer Mike Cavenett said: "Anyone concerned about the state of the world should welcome Obama’s arrival in the White House. It’s great to see pictures of him out and about on his bicycle. Let’s hope he uses it to ride to the next global environment summit."
The Inauguration will take place at 5pm (12pm US time) and four million people are set to be in attendance.
