International Cyclefit Symposium is to be held in London, 25-26th January 2012

Major speakers lined up for bike fitting conference

Cyclefit of London is organising the International Cyclefit Symposium, to be staged at the end of January at the Design Centre in Covent Garden.

This is a two day forum into the relationship between the human body and a bicycle. The symposium is targeted at bike fitting practitioners, coaches and trainers, bicycle frame and component manufacturers and athletes.

There will be guest speakers from around the world, including Dr Jeff Broker of the University of Colorado Springs; Keith Bontrager of Trek; Phil Burt of British Cycling and Team Sky; Alberto Fonte of Fizik; consultant cardiologist Dr Nigel Stephens; and Dr Katrina Vogel, an expert on cycling and pelvic asymmetry.

"ICS is a unique event and the only occasion where all the disparate branches of cycling science and the fitting community can come together for a collective learning experience," said Philip Cavell, director of Cyclefit.

The symposium costs £500 per person.
