The self-stlyed road cycling emporium gets a headline sponsor

Maserati to sponsor inaugural Rouleur Classic event

Telegraph Events and Gruppo Media have announced the luxury Italian car brand Maserati as the title sponsor of the inaugural ‘Rouleur Classic – The Road Cycling Emporium’ – in a two-year agreement that spans 2015 and 2016.

This activity forms a key part of the new Maserati Cycling initiative, which also includes its title sponsorship of the Tour de Yorkshire Ride (Sunday 3rd May) and unveiling David Millar as its Maserati Cycling ambassador. Maserati Cycling is a new programme designed to celebrate the marque’s affinity with the sport and to offer a series of unique experiences for Britain’s road cyclists. The brand said the rapid growth of road cycling in the UK has been particularly evident amongst its customers and employees, who are "passioniate about performance, sporting excellence and design providing a natural conduit to the sport. Through Maserati Cycling, the company will aim to embrace this passion and is committed to supporting its continued growth."

Pitched as a unique celebration of the best in road cycling, the team say the Rouleur Classic is a perfect fit for the values and aims of Maserati Cycling. If you missed the original announcement, the event will be an exclusive, intimately-curated visitor experience, featuring the pre-eminent brands, personalities and athletes, together with unique previews of the latest products, equipment and technologies, all under one roof, aimed at discerning visitors evaluating their next important bike purchase.

Telegraph Events are bringing their experience with the likes of The London Bike Show and Salon QP (a prestigious watch exhibition held at the Saatchi Gallery) to the table.

Peter Denton, Region Manager for Maserati North Europe, commented: “Once we decided upon Maserati Cycling, it was only natural that we talk to Rouleur. The title perfectly embodies everything we love about the sport. The launch of the Rouleur Classic has provided an ideal platform for us to work together to deliver something truly exceptional to a discerning audience of road cyclists."

Bruce Sandell, MD at Gruppo Media, added: “I am delighted that Maserati has chosen to align itself with the Rouleur Classic. Their sponsorship sets the tone superbly for the event – Maserati is an iconic, luxury brand that is renowned for engineering the most beautiful cars in the world and fits perfectly with the aspirational cycling brands that will be taking part in the event. There’s a great affinity between cycling and the Maserati brand, with the constant pursuit of innovation and a rich, continental heritage going back many years. Along with our partners Telegraph Events, we are looking forward to working closely with Maserati and David Millar over the next few months.”

Tickets to the event will be on sale in May priced from £50.00. More details at www.rouleurclassic.cc or 0207 931 3959.
