New series of hints and tips for store staff available now

Myagi releases free training videos for bike shops

Myagi has launched a new cycle training series of free videos to support retailers already using the service and to encourage new sign ups.

Myagi’s online learning and development network launched last year and since then has seen a number of retailers sign up to the free service. The service can be logged into at any time from any device.

The firm’s approach sees it create and share training content via video, with a short quiz to validate the learning. Brands and retailers can use the network to make training consistent and visible, with modules tracked and reported.

Myagi said the approach is rewarding, productive and has even improved staff retention rates as well as grassroots retail knowledge: "For staff, the ability to progress their skills and develop their product knowledge in a broad range of areas is improving job satisfaction and sales."

Ten new videos have been put together by Myagi covering training basics to more in-depth skills development for the industry as a whole. The topics included have been developed in tandem with Mat Clark from Plush Suspension and were filmed at new MTB store Brink.

Myagi is free for retailers and staff. Signing up is quick and users can get into the content straight away at www.myagi.com. Zyro dealer stores will already have an account created to make signing up super easy, so there’s content from the likes of Giro and Camelbak, as well as Sealskinz and more already available. Retailers such as Leisure Lakes, Alpine Bikes, Hargroves Cycles and around 150 IBDs are already using Myagi for free.

Leisure Lakes’ Tim Noy said: "All I had to do was sign up and invite my staff to join Myagi, it was so easy and now they’re using it everyday, competing with each other and learning at the same time, which is great. I can click on the reporting and see exactly which of my staff have been training the most, which offers fantastic visibility and accountability. We plan to use it for all our internal training going forward too.

"The new Myagi "How to" modules are great as I am reassured to know that my teams all understand the basics – and I’m sure even my most experienced staff have learnt something from watching them. Being able to access product training from brands, as well as creating our own training is perfect…it means everything is in one place for my staff and I."
