IBD opens in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, with Specialized Bike Fit studio

New bike shops: Kinetic Cycles and Hoops Velo

Kinetic Cycles has opened in a 4,000 sq ft retail space in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

The shop is stocking a wide range of product, from kids bikes and hybrids to full sus MTBs and top end road bikes.

The shop also accommodates a larger range of niche products including triathlon-orientated bikes and equipment and the additions of more upmarket marques such as Specialized S-Works and Stages Power Meters.

Kinetic Cycles is the sister shop to Kinetic’s Welwyn shop, which opened in March 2012.

“Initially we had not set out with the goal of creating a shop that specialised in one discipline or another, but we’ve found that alongside the recreational side of the trade we’ve become quite well known for higher-end mountain bike, whereas we feel the new Hitchin store is likely to become a bit more high-end road. We’re very keen not to pigeon-hole ourselves however and always stress to customers that we have a range of quality products to suit every style or budget.”

In addition to its workshop with Cytech qualified mechanics, Kinetic offers a Specialized Bike Fit Studio.
