New conference: ‘Cycling and Walking Infrastructure That Works’

‘Cycling and Walking Infrastructure That Works’ is a new conference from Landor, publisher of TransportXtra and organiser of CycleCity Birmingham, staged earlier this year

The conference will discuss junction treatment, reallocation of carriageway space, cycle tracks away from roads and other topics.

There will be talks from Lilli Matson, Head of Delivery Planning, Transport for London; Shane Snow, New Cycling Projects at Department for Transport; Mike Davis, Cycling Projects Team Leader, Cambridgeshire County Council; Dr Tim Jones, Senior Research Fellow in Mobility and Transport, Oxford Institute for Sustainable Development, Oxford Brookes University; and Rachel Aldred, Senior Lecturer in Transport, Westminster University.

Andrew Gilligan, Boris Johnson’s ‘cycling Csar’ will give a keynote presentation at the conference.

There will also be case studies from the Danish Cycling Embassy, and talks from German Dector-Vega and Matt Winfield, of Sustrans; and Roger Geffen, Campaign and Policy Director, CTC.

A closing debate will be chaired by Carlton Reid, executive editor of BikeBiz.
