Aluminium frame manufacturer Nicolai has announced a huge new range covering everything from jump and BMX frames, through XC race rigs, right up to world cup downhill bikes – each with a five year warranty.
The Helius family of Horst Link suspension frames is core to the range and this year has had a major refresh with three new frames launched.
The Helius AM: an ‘all mountain’ frame, built for a 160mm fork, launched the new sleeker look earlier this year. Ready for 2010 come two more frames – the Helius AC and Helius AFR.
The Helius AC is perfectly suited to UK trail centres with 145mm of rear travel and best-suited to trail forks with 150mm travel, such as the Rock Shox Revelation and Fox 32.
Next up, the Helius AFR is designed with a seven-inch single crown fork in mind and up to 200mm rear travel. The final frame weight comes in at 3.5kg/8lbs.
The Helius range all start at £1600. The manufacturer also offers a custom build option on its frames.
