As well as a guitar, Kerry often packs his Serotta on cross-country campaign flights.
And since the well-reported fall at the start of May – see link below – the slightly damaged handlebars have been replaced by Kerry’s favourite bike shop, Belmont Wheelworks, "servicing the greater Boston cycling community since 1977."
Apparently, Kerry insisted that the bars were replaced with exactly the same model, the Modolo KX Carbon
bars featuring the Curvissima design that features a continuous curved lower section to provide superior, ergnomic hand-comfort.
Kerry damaged his shoulder in a bicycle fall in 1992 and last year had surgery to fix a pain flare-up. He’s found the Modolo bars to be the most comfortable he’s tried.

There’s also a close-up of the Modolo bars.
Incidentally, Wildoo’s Andy Easterbrook is currently seeking a new UK distributor for Modolo. andy@wildoo.co.uk
