Nottingham launched its bid to become 'World Design Capital' yesterday, aided by one of the city's most admired designs - The Raleigh Chopper.

Raleigh ceased manufacturing in the city during 2002, shifting its production lines to the far-east, however the distribution centre still operates from Eastwood.
