The third staging of the Ordnance Survey sponsored Outdoors Show - NEC Birmingham, 2nd-4th April 2004 - will see an extended bike-related expo area and a more technical cycle test track than the plain and simple one of last year. The track - part dirt, part concrete, part tarmac - will snake from the hall through to the lake circuit.

Outdoors Show gets beefier bike test track

Brand Events, the show owner and organiser, is expecting 60 000 visitors to attend and has added a fourth hall, increasing floor space by 25 percent.

For the third successive year, the Outdoors Show is being marketed by Karol Marketing, the multi award-winning Newcastle PR agency housed in a £500 000 glass-fronted building in Byker, formerly the Fighting Cocks pub.

Evans Cycles, the south-east powerhouse IBD chain, is exhibiting at the show for the first time, joining CTC, ACT, Madison and others.

The test out track will be equipped with bicycles from the bike trade exhibitors and Brand Events is seeking companies to sponsor parts of the track.
