The job at Polaris Apparel Ltd was created for McDonald. As well as marketing function, the Derbyshire company will use her event management and gear testing skills.
Karen will be raising the Polaris profile on the hills, in the events, in the shops, magazines and peoples minds, says a press release from Polaris Apparel written by, er, Karen McDonald.
She is well qualified in the endurance sports field being placed in many years of Polaris Challenge MTB orienteering events (including 1st, 2nd and 3rd places). She also took part in the 1997 Camel Trophy, the team jeep-and-sports race held in exotic locations. Her most recent job was as event staff for the Camel Trophy and she is currently the manager/trainer of Team UK in the forthcoming Camel Trophy.
