To date, Powabyke has sold 12 000 of its Chinese-made electric bikes in the UK.

More sales will now be forthcoming because of a link-up with the Civil Servants Motoring Assocation. Powabyke will be piggy-backing on CSMA mail-shots and will be featured in CSMA's ten issues a year magazine, Motoring & Leisure.

All sales leads will be directed to authorised Powabyke dealers, the majority of which are IBDs.

Dealers have to register with Powabyke to start receiving the sales leads in their areas.

CMSA members can use a £50 discount voucher against the purchase of a Powabyke. This amount is credited back to the dealer.

Nick Child, MD of Powabyke (seen freewheeling uphill in the pic above) said:

"We feel it's important for the manufacturer to be proactive in helping to drive the customers through the retailer's door."
