The second PressCamp schmoozefest has started near Salt Lake City

PressCamp kicks off in Utah

30 brands are hosting 24 journalists representing 42 publications (and one podcast, The Fredcast) at the Deer Valley ski resort above Park City in Utah.

The journalists include the top US cycling journalists and writers from mainstream media such as the Los Angeles Times and Outside. European mags are represented by BikeBiz, BikeEurope and Chipps Chippendale from Singletrack.

PressCamp started last year and has expanded the number of exhibitor brands and journalists, while maintaining the feel of a smaller, hands-on event. The three day event sees exhibitors get one on one time with the editors before an afternoon of bike riding on the trails of the resort.

Editor and exhibitors also take all meals together, helping the bonding process.

At this year’s event, Canadian e-motor brand Bion-x is sending the editors home with Trek MTBs equipped with Bion-x propulsion and battery units.

Rudy Project, 25 years old this year, is presenting editors with limited edition sunglasses and watch kits to celebrate the quarter century.

To carry the kits home, the editors have been supplied with oversize Knog messenger bags loaded with schwag, including bags and bottles from Camelbak, socks and armwarmers from Defeet, bars from Clifbar, and a PressCamp road jersey.
