Eurotrek deal comes to an end after 15 years

Raleigh goes direct to Irish bike dealers

Raleigh is to support Irish IBDs directly from its Nottinghamshire HQ, with effect from June 1st.

For the past 15 years Raleigh has worked with Dublin-based Eurotrek Group to service dealers in the country, and the move marks the end of this partnership.

Eurotrek Group CEO Mel Sutcliffe said: “I am delighted that Raleigh UK have taken charge of direct shipment into the Irish market. It’s very important for the brand to remain market leader. The direct move is imperative considering the changing environment of the industry.”

Key personnel within Eurotrek – including Damian Byrne and Helen McCulloch – will continue to support Raleigh’s Irish dealer network from June onwards.

Raleigh UK’s MD Mark Gouldthorp added: “While we have definitely benefitted from Eurotrek’s support as our partner, the changing commercial, communication and logistics environment has meant a direct business model is now appropriate to continue to support dealers in the best possible manner. We are confident that we can manage the migration to a direct model with our “new” dealer base in a seamless fashion and are excited at their response to the enhanced service and commercial proposition we are now able to implement.”

Dealers will be receiving a communication directly from Raleigh shortly; any dealers wishing to clarify their trading status with Raleigh or wishing to become a Raleigh dealer, should contact Damian Byrne via email at damianbyrne@raleigh.co.uk
