Raleigh sponsors Revolution's 'Future Stars' comp

Last year the youth track racing competition on the Revolution programme was sponsored by multisports retailer Decathlon. Raleigh doesn't produce a track racing bike but the sponsorship deal "fits perfectly with our existing strategies for developing women’s and youth cycling," said Raleigh's corporate development executive.
Publish date:

Revolution is the track cycling event held in the winter at the Manchester Velodrome.

The Future Stars competition honed the form of Andy Tennant who after two seasons of riding Future Stars became a junior world champion.

"Raleigh’s involvement has ensured that the Future Stars will continue to grow with competitions now in place for both the girls and boys," said Revolution's James Pope.

Raleigh’s corporate development executive Paul Chapman said: "Revolution provides an excellent opportunity for us to extend this work and fits perfectly with our existing strategies for developing women’s and youth cycling.”

The Future Stars competition will kick off at Revolution 9 on October 15th.
