Red Bull is to take its famed Mini Drome to Edinburgh this month, with the offer of customised Charge Bikes for those posting the quickest times across ten laps.

Hosted at the College of Art on June 17th, qualifying is open to 100 competitors who will complete a single time trial. Riders will be timed using The Velotrack Timing System. The top 32 racers with the quickest time across the ten laps will progress through the competition to the finals which will be a single pursuit race format.

The venue has a spectator capacity for 200 people and is free to all public on a first come, first served basis. A donation to Wings for Life would be welcomed. The competition will only be enhanced by bringing it to such an individual and culturally important venue as the Edinburgh College of Art.

All of those who qualify for the finals will receive a Charge goody bag. The top three riders will take home gold, silver and bronze bikes, respective of their position.

The purpose built track has been engineered in Germany by Velotrack, the team who built the velodromes for the Atlanta Olympics and the Delhi Commonwealth Games. The Red Bull Mini Drome track will maintain race worthy dimensions in the smallest possible size to enable a single pursuit. Riders often hit speeds of up to 20 km/ph.

For your chance to compete simply register here www.redbull.co.uk/minidrome. Entries will close on 10th June.
