Energy drink will support the BMX display at the April show; more exhibitors sign up to event

Rockstar heads to Scottish Bike Show 2012

The build up to the second ever Scottish Bike Show, taking place April 13th to 15th at Glasgow’s SECC, continues with more exhibitors signing up and 450 riders (so far) registered for the new Sportive.

Rockstar Energy Drink has also signed up to sponsor the BSD BMX Team at the show, which will feature in displays and jam sessions across the weekend. Kriss Kyle, Mike Taylor, Matt Roe, Chaz Mailey, Sean Lafferty, Niki Croft and Alex Donnachie are among the riders set to perform stunts and tricks on an indoor street park at the show.

Meanwhile the exhibitor list has grown to include Schwalbe, CTC, Scottish Cycling, Ridelines, Glasgow Sport and Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Show organiser Magdala Media told BikeBiz that the show has booked more exhibitors than the same time last year.

"We are delighted that the list of quality exhibitors for the show keeps growing," enthused Magdala Media’s Rowan Mackie. "I would like to thank all sponsors, partners and exhibitors for their early and continued backing for The Scottish Bike Show, the best possible platform to showcase cycling in all its forms to the Scottish public and visitors from all over the UK."

UK Brand Manager of Rockstar Energy Drink Gordon Donald added: "We look forward to showcasing our new 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink product innovation at the Scottish Bike Show as well as working with the BSD BMX team to put on an awesome BMX event."

Rockstar has also announced that Christian Hatcher, 44 Racing Rockstar MTB team owner and rider in the Schwalbe British 4X Series (masters), will be at the event, together with a number of other Rockstar Energy Drink athletes.
