Mark Noble steps down as editor of the downhill magazine to concentrate on his role as publisher, and editor of Ride BMX

Rose promoted to editor of Dirt magazine

Photo-journalist and main Dirt writer Mike Rose is take over Noble’s editorial role.

"I¹m stoked that Mike is now editor," said Noble.

"The magazine will have more focus, will develop editorially, will make even further gains in its international reputation, and Mike will be able to take Dirt to levels that I certainly would not have been able to do. Mike is definitely the man for the job. His photographic skills are unparalleled, his writing style is entertaining with a superb depth of knowledge, and he has a passion for the magazine."

Rose agrees: "It really is a dream job, I can think of no other magazine that I would want to work for. Dirt has come a long way in its brief history but has managed to inspire and influence a whole generation of people who just like to ride bicycles on dirt.

"No other bicycle publication offers the freedom that working for Dirt allows and I will now be able to concentrate all of my efforts into realising the magazine¹s full potential. It is now my job to step it up another gear, to make Dirt the best magazine available by using not only myself but also the best photographers and journalists the industry has to offer. We already have a strong team who are all passionate and committed to working on the magazine but now we also have a strong direction."
