Following the recent opening of the CyclePoint bike park, a new cycle shop is set to open at Cambridge railway station.

The Rutland Cycling store located next to CyclePoint, will offer sales, repairs and cycle hire. The store will be Rutland’s fifth location in the city, following its recent acquisition of Station Cycles’ four shops, at Grand Arcade, Histon, Barnwell Road and the Giant Store on Hills Road. The new Rutland store will offer customers leading brands including Specialized, Trek, Brompton, Pashley, Whyte and Frog, with professionally-trained staff offering customers service and advice. Free click and collect is available from rutlandcycling.com.

Rutland will operate Cambridge station’s official Cycle Hire, and will continue to offer bike hire from its Grand Arcade shop. Cycle hire is a model Rutland Cycling are familiar with from their award-winning cycle hire destinations in the East Midlands. Daily and long-term bicycle hire is available and Rutland offer a special rate to students.

A representative of Abellio commented: “We’re pleased to welcome Rutland Cycling on board to provide the important retail element at the UK’s largest and most prestigious station cycle park. We always envisaged a strong link with a local cycle retailer at Cambridge CyclePoint, and we are sure that Rutland’s knowledge of the local market and commitment to high standards of service will be a real benefit to our customers."
