Santini unveils UCI 2018 kit

As partner of the Union Cycliste Internationale, Santini Cycling Wear has unveiled its brand new Santini – UCI Rainbow Collection for 2018.

“This exclusive partnership between the UCI and Santini has been a cornerstone chapter in the history of the company and the family; it has consolidated from season to season since 1988,” said Santini Cycling Wear CEO Monica Santini.

“This 2018 Santini – UCI Rainbow Collection reflects the long-lasting relationship Santini and the UCI have had for more than 20 years. It is a relationship of which we are extremely proud,” added UCI head of marketing Cyrille Jacobsen.

At the heart of the collection is the UCI rainbow jersey, which is worn by UCI world champions in all cycling’s disciplines such as Peter Sagan and Amalie Dideriksen.

“I am extremely happy to be in the rainbow stripes,” commented Sagan. “And to win while wearing this jersey is truly an incredible feeling.”

“It was fantastic to spend a year riding in the rainbow stripes. It’s a unique feeling and a great honour to be able to wear the UCI World Champion jersey,” added Dideriksen.“This is the first time that an elite Danish athlete has won the UCI Road World Championships and I’m very happy to have played my own small part in bringing to light the great women riders from my country.”

Besides the UCI Rainbow Jersey, Santini also produced a capsule collection of technical cycling wear for both men and women, as well as a casual range of sweatshirts, t-shirts and accessories inspired by the iconic rainbow stripes. The Italian made collection was presented at the 2017 UCI Road World Championships in Bergen, Norway.
