Sales office administrator and customer service and warranty team expanded

Saracen hires HQ staff

Saracen Bikes has recruited two new members of staff into its Warwickshire-based headquarters. Damien Haines and Jonathan Touhig both join with a wealth of experience of the bike sector.

Damien Haines joins as sales office administrator with more that 16 years in retail, many of them in the bike industry. His most recent roles have been at managerial level with the Specialized concept store in Birmingham and the specialist triathlon shop SBR in Windsor. Outside work he has a passion for mountain biking, especially Four-X having run and managed the world-class track at Hornton Hill. At Saracen, Damien will oversee the sales office to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Jon Touhig joins the customer service and warranty team. Jon also has a wealth of experience in the bike trade having worked for Halfords, Leisure Lakes and Dawes cycles. Outside work Jon is a keen rider and an excellent mechanic having worked as tech support at a number of national events and he has also worked as the mechanic for Team Halfords. This included supporting leading British down hill world cup riders Jonny Cheetham and Helen Gaskel. Jon will join the team giving front line support to Saracens growing independent dealership network.

Commenting on the appointments Paul Stanforth, Saracen Bike’s managing director said: “Our team – both in the office and out on the road – is growing from strength to strength. We are really pleased to have Damien and Jon joining us as they clearly share the same passion for bikes that we all do here at Saracen. I honestly believe that we have one of the most experienced teams in the UK’s bike industry at the moment, which can be nothing but good news for our customers and our customer’s customers.”
