Doug Stewart to manage aftermarket sales

SR Suntour Launches North America Subsidiary

Suspension and component manufacturer SR Suntour has announced the establishment of SR Suntour North America. This new subsidiary will be based in Vancouver, WA.

Darrell Voss who has led SR Suntour’s US activities for the past eleven years will be director of this new venture and will oversee all of the company’s activities in North America, as well as being an integral part of the global company’s product development activities.

An important factor behind the establishment of this new company is SR Suntour’s ambition to build and broaden its business in the aftermarket. Currently, as the industry’s largest suspension manufacturer, approximately 90 per cent of the company’s production goes to OEM sales.

To drive the aftermarket business, SR Suntour has hired Doug Stuart (pictured) FSA’s former president, to manage aftermarket sales and marketing in North America. Since leaving FSA in 2006, Stuart established Corsair Bikes, a high-end full suspension bicycle brand. Having recently sold Corsair Bikes, Stuart will bring his experience in executing successful dealer, distributor and marketing programs to SR Suntour.

"The way this company has built a very robust vertically integrated manufacturing base is truly impressive. When combined with an effective sales and marketing strategy, it’s easy to understand that the investment on the manufacturing side represents a rock solid foundation for the future growth of the SR Suntour brand", said Doug Stuart.
