Downhill World Champion Steve Peat is set to join Olympic Gold medalist Jamie Staff for the Fisher Expo Charity Ride on February 7th.
Starting at 10am on Sunday Feb 7th, riders who sign up for the charity ride will leave the Expo 2010 venue, Sopwell House Hotel in St. Albans, and take in around twenty miles of Hertfordshire countryside before returning in plenty of time to enjoy the grand show opening.
As well as riding with a whole host of pro-riders, including Steve and Jamie, All proceeds from the ride will go to the Stephen Murray Family Fund and every entrant who donates or raises £50 or more will receive an exclusive, limited edition Santini commemorative jersey (see the front and back of the jersey here and here).
Following on from breaking just about every record in the book in 2009 culminating in him being crowned World Champion for the first time in his illustrious career, Steve Peat joins an ever-growing entry list for this exciting new event which also includes riders from the Fisher sponsored Endura racing team.
A long time supporter of the Stephen Murray Family fund, Steve is looking forward to taking part. Peat said: "I’m really pleased to be able to take part in the ride, meet all the other riders and raise some money for this great cause. I look forward to seeing you all out on the road on the 7th.’’
KaaBoom!! will also be on hand to wash bikes down after the event and a photographer will be at the finishing line to record you crossing the line or snap the trade chatting with the stars.
