Super Cycles put spin on forks from Rock Shox sub-contractor

The Nottingham-based distributor is to distribute and promote Spinner forks. Spinner used to produce InSync forks. This was nn OEM brand active five years ago, but Spinner let the brand's products lapse while it ramped up production of Rock Shox forks. With SRAM taking all Rock Shox production back in-house, Spinner is a free agent once more. Super Cycles continues with X-Fusion rear shocks.

SRAM shelved the production deal with Spinner in April this year.

"This leaves Spinner once more in a position to develop their own business with many new and innovative ideas," said Mike Poyzer of Super Cycles.

"The knowledge and experience gained whilst sub contracting for Rock Shox shows in the quality and design of the new range."

The Aeris XC, at 1250 grams, is said to be the lightest fork on the market. It has a forged titanium crown, Scandium steerer and stanchions and one piece magnesium lower legs. With 80mm of travel, the Aeris XC has air springs and the patented SPULValve damping system.

SPULValve damping is also on some of the mid-market forks.

"This superb quality range of forks dovetail very nicely with the X-Fusion range of rear shocks," said Poyzer.

X-Fusion shocks are distributed by Super Shox, a Super Cycles subsidiar. Service and warranty on the Spinner forks will be handled by Super Shox.

"Retail prices will be attractive and a strong margin will be built in for IBD customers who are seen as an essential component in establishing the brand," said Poyzer.

"Magazine editorial, advertising and point of sale are also on the cards as well as up to the minute packaging."

Sample models are available now, with production models available by Christmas.
