Organisers confident Taipei CYCLE’08 will open in new TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall

Taipei show on track to open in new venue

The new venue has been plagued with building delays and is out-of-town compared to the long-used location but the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall doubles the available floor space and brings the show under one roof. Taipei CYCLE’08 will be the venue’s first show.

The 21-year old show will be staged March 13th to 16th 2008. It’s organised by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and the Taiwan Bicycle Exporters’ Association (TBEA).

At the 2007 show there were 694 exhibitors using 2,299 booths, a 6 per cent increase over 2006. There were 45,000 buyers, of which 3,939 were from outside China and Taiwan, an increase by 11 percent compared to the previous year.

The 2008 show will comprise: Complete Bicycles, Electric Bicycles and Bicycle Components & Parts. Moving the bike show from the World Trade Center allows TAITRA to stage the Taipei International Sporting Goods Show downtown and at the same time as Taipei CYCLE’08.
