Tern, the folding bike maker, has been profiled on a 22-minute Channel News Asia TV programme. Featured in the "Fortunes From Fun" slot ("we look at that rare breed of entrepreneurs who built their fortunes around fun, creating products that added a bit of happiness into our lives,") the programme is based on Tern's run-up to Eurobike and focusses on company co-founder Joshua Hon, son of Dahon's David Hon.

"In a world where high use of mass transit systems looks set to replace dependence on automobiles, Joshua Hon firmly believes that the folding bike is the future of urban transportation," said an intro for the Channel News Asia programme.

“Bicycles are critical part of our transportation future,” said Josh Hon in the feature. "Our mission is get butts on bikes."

The film also stars Tern co-workers and shows that while Tern is based out of Taiwan it's a very international company.

"Fun is good business," concludes Hon, who was shown cycling to a game of ultimate frisbee, a sport he has played since his college days (Hon was brought up on California).
