Early production link OCL frames could fail. Recall only affects Evans and one other.

Tern recall Link model

Tern has announced a recall affecting early production Link OCL frames produced between 2011 and early 2012.

The Chinese-made frames are found on models including the Link D8, Link P9, Link P24h, Link D7i, Link P7i, Link D24 and Link Uno. Roughly 1,700 bikes are included in the recall, though most of the affected bikes in the UK have already been recalled by Evans, the only retailer bar one hit by the voluntary decision.

Potential recall frames can be identified by the letters “AI” at the beginning of the bike Frame Number stamped underneath the bottom bracket. Consumers with affected bikes will be provided a replacement frame free of charge.
