Non-exec role for former Group MD for digital at Emap

TfL’s Arney joins Halfords board

Claudia Arney has joined the Halfords board as a non-executive director with effect from January 25th 2011.

Arney is also serving as a Board member of Transport for London and formerly was group managing director, digital at Emap Inform until Autumn 2010 where she led the development and execution of online publishing strategy. 

Other previous roles include executive director at Goldman Sachs. 

"Claudia brings extensive experience of strategy formulation and business development particularly in the online consumer and media space," commented Halfords chairman Dennis Millard.

"I am delighted to welcome Claudia to the Halfords Board as we continue to deliver our plans for long-term sustainable growth."

Earlier this month Halfords revealed it had seen bike sale plummet 16 per cent in the run up to Christmas.
