Scotland will host the first stage of the second annual running of the Tour of Britain road race which last year visited only England and Wales. And it's a three year deal, securing the future of the race, which its organisers hope will be admitted to the UCI's ProTour series.

The Tour of Britain organisers have signed a three year deal with EventScotland, Glasgow City Council, Dumfries & Galloway Council, Scottish Enterprise Dumfries and Galloway, Visitscotland and Sportscotland.
