Now it's not just road riders who have access to 'unparalleled custom options'

Trek brings Project One customisation to mountain bikes

Trek Bicycle’s Project One system – where consumers can customise their road bikes and collect them in-store – has now been extended to include the brand’s most popular mountain bikes.

The bikes available for customisation are a collection of the brand’s flagship 29-inch wheeled product; the Superfly 9.9 SL, the Superfly 100 9.9 SL, and the all-new Fuel EX 9.9 29.

Project One allows riders to create their bike from the ground up, from colours and graphics they want to components.

“Customisation is at the core of what mountain bikes are all about since Gary Fisher and company first created them in the 1970s," said Trek MTB product manager John Riley. "Project One is the modern embodiment of that. Project One mountain bikes are something that our customers have asked about for a long time and to be able to offer riders so many options is awesome.”

Trek said Project One offers unparalleled custom options in the bike industry. It allows riders to tinker with the following:

  • Frames

  • Graphics
  • Shifters
  • Shocks
  • Forks
  • Drivetrains
  • Bottom Brackets
