And the laser-signed, yellow Speedplay pedals will be available in shops, too. For every set sold, Speedplay will donate $1 to the Tyler Hamilton Foundation, an MS and roadie bursary not-for-profit organisation. Last year, Speedplay produced a CSC-red set of Zero pedals.

Tyler Hamilton gets signature pedal in time for Tour de France

Speedplay, Inc. has unveiled the Tyler Hamilton Signature Edition Zero Pedal System that features a yellow pedal and Tyler Hamilton’s laser-etched signature on the spindle. While Hamilton rides the titanium model, a stainless steel version is also available. Both come in special “Tyler Hamilton Edition” packaging.

“Since Tyler began riding the yellow Zero pedals at the beginning of the racing season, we’ve been flooded with requests from riders worldwide who want to purchase pedals just like Tyler rides,” said Doug Cerri, Speedplay’s US sales manager.

Hamilton, who first raced Speedplay pedals in 1993 as a member of the Colorado University cycling team, said:

“I was happy to learn that Speedplay had decided to make the yellow Zeros my signature pedals. The contribution to my Foundation goes to support a great cause.”
