Premium cycle wear brand, Vélobici, has partnered with Kyklos Bike and its founder, Italian cycling legend Danilo "The Killer" Di Luca, to develop its very first road bike.
The bike has been engineered from unidirectional Toray T800, the stiffest, most lightweight carbon on the market, creating a road cycling machine that weighs in at just 800g.
The shape of the frame has been designed and developed to bring together everything one desires from a top-level road bike: maximum traction rigidity and complete comfort on long distances, while also being incredibly responsive.
In addition, each Vélobici Kyklos Continental bike features an exclusive serial number, making it the ultimate investment for cyclists who want to make a statement with their own unique riding style.
Road cyclists can be among the first to enjoy a full glimpse of the new Vélobici Kyklos Continental bike when it is officially launched during Vélobici’s Facebook Live event, taking place on Thursday July 28th from 12.30pm.
Chris Puttnam, founder and owner of Vélobici, comments: “Our partnership with Kyklos is born out of mutual respect. We were hugely inspired by Danilo during his riding years and he has long been a fan of our performance wear, so we were keen to work together to develop a road bike that could exceed expectation aesthetically and in performance.
“The design of the bike itself is inspired by Danilo’s aggressive riding style and the Kyklos Killer SLR. The Kyklos engineers have developed a super light frame that benefits from the highest rigidity and also provides major resistance against breakages. The bike embodies the Vélobici ethos right down to its blue and gold finish, which gives the Continental a timeless aesthetic that impresses just as much as its technical specification and results in a beautifully crafted bike that exceeds all expectations.”
Danilo Di Luca, founder of Kyklos Bike, comments: “The Continental is the combination of the Killer SLR, our top class bike, with the best technology available for road bikes, and completed with Vélobici’s classic style. I have tried to embed Kyklos with all my passion and years of experience in top class racing, and it is indeed this passion that has prompted our partnership with Vélobici; ever since our first meeting I sensed in them the same passion that has moved me through all my life. Now that we have established a great friendship, we have created a bridge between England and Italy. A perfect fusion between our worlds is what has given birth to the Continental.
“This bike has been developed for an exclusive market and for those who are looking for a product that is both technological and of a unique design. I am sure that serious cyclists will appreciate the emotions that this masterpiece of design and technology can inspire.”
