BBC.co.uk called Cameron "the cycling Old Etonian" and said "with his mountain bike...[he] likes to be seen as a man of the people."

Cameron's close friend, leadership campaign manager, and the shadow chancellor to boot, is George Osborne.

DC and Osborne - aged 39 and 34 - live close to each other in Notting Hill and often cycle to to the House of Commons together.

They use the paths of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park then pedal under the Wellington Arch and past the Palace to St James's.
