Wiggle shortlisted for three Oracle Retail Week Awards

Wiggle is up for three prizes at the prestigious Oracle Retail Week Awards next year, up against retail heavyweights like Ocado, Asda and Tesco.

The online retailer is up for Non Store Retailer of the Year (against Ocado, Amazon and Asos), Growing Retailer of the Year and Product Innovation of the Year for its Verenti range, the latter prize pitting it against Boots, Waitrose, Asda, Tesco andThe Conran Shop.

Earlier this year, Wiggle won a BikeBiz Award and a prize at the e-Commerce Awards for Excellence.

"We are delighted to have been shortlisted for these three awards,” enthused Wiggle marketing director Martin Talbot. “This is one of the biggest events in the retail calendar and the fact Wiggle is in the final alongside the industry’s elite says a lot about our phenomenal growth and hard work in the past year."

Retail Week editor Tim Danaher added: "The quality of entries this year has been extraordinary, as you can see from our list of finalists. More than 1500 people from across the UK are expected to join us for this prestigious evening which celebrates those leading the way in retail innovation."

Other recent accolades for the rising retailer include Experience Hitwise UK naming it Britain’s most visited bike website for the first half of 2010.
