Britain has had a spectacular summer of sport, but it's a cyclist that is still favourite to win SPOTY

Wiggo still hot favourite for BBC Sports Personality of the Year

Despite competition from Olympians, Paralympians and now Andy Murray too, Bradley Wiggins is back to being odds-on favourite to win BBC Sports Personality of the Year award, so says Ladbrokes.

Since Murray’s US Open win the cyclist drifted out to odds-against for the first time since winning Le Tour de France back in July, however momentum is once again with Wiggins, seeing his odds cut to 10/11 from 11/10.

Murray maintains his spot in second place with odds of 5/2, which has consequently seen 5,000m and 10,000m Olympic double winner Mo Farah drift out to 7/2.

Ladbrokes has little doubt that the top three will consist of Wiggins, Murray and Farah (at 4/7).

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "We’re pleased to see Wiggins back to odds-on as it eases our double pay out headache. As far as we’re concerned the top three of Wiggins, Murray and Farah is a done deal."
