Swobos woollen cycle jerseys have cult status among clued-up bikies but the company does not make enough of a profit to keep the business going.
The news of Swobos imminent demise was revealed on www.bicycleretailer.com where Tim Parr was reported as saying:
If nothing works out at least we made cycling clothes fun and cycling a little less serious.
Swobo clothing was originally imported into the UK by Gez and Sarah Jones of Global Fridge before the agency was taken on by Caratti who themselves were later usurped by the Wheelie Serious Group. However, there has been no UK distribution since the beginning of 1999.
