Ribble Pro Cycling has announced Weldtite as a new team sponsor – to form Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling.
“We are really thrilled to establish this partnership with Ribble Cycles and Weldtite,” said Tom Timothy, Ribble Pro Cycling team principal. “We had an impactful first year at UCI Continental level and plan to build on that for 2020.
“The investment and support that Ribble Cycles and Weldtite are providing will be instrumental in allowing the team to continue to develop and progress. It is important to us as a wholly British team, to bring in a British based company that really reflects our core values.”
Andy Smallwood, Ribble Cycles CEO, added: “I am immensely proud of how the team performed and supported the rapidly growing momentum of the Ribble brand and business in 2019 and this new partnership will allow Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling to truly build on the teams success to date and take the team to the next level. Its international plans align with Ribble Cycle’s own global business growth – which all adds for a very exciting season.
“Ribble Cycles and Weldtite are leading British Brands that share a passion for cycling which enhances the synergy and overall partnership.”
Weldtite exports to over 50 countries across the globe. This international reach will be supported by Ribble Weldtite Pro Cycling who will race across Europe and Asia, as well as in the most prestigious road races in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Paul Davis, managing director, Weldtite, said: “Ribble Pro Cycling’s 2019 season was full of excitement and success on the domestic scene and on the world stage. Similarly to Weldtite, the team has grown very organically and is well-positioned to mount a strong assault on the domestic scene and Internationally in 2020.
“The Tour de Yorkshire and the Tour of Britain are now huge events in the cycling world and are a fantastic platform to increase consumer knowledge of Weldtite products.”
