Bristol-based mudguard brand RideGuard has exceeded current sales targets with new business from abroad, helped in part by a favourable exchange rate.
RideGuard received notable attention from the media including BikeBiz in October of last year with the news that the brand would be releasing a range of fully customisable mudguards, which RideGuard claims propelled the products into the eyes of dealers and distributors worldwide.
“We are delighted with the response from IBDs here at home, the surprise has been with the orders we’ve had from international customers. We have created bespoke mudguards for major brands like Specialized, and we are capitalising on our success by reinvesting profits into research and development in all areas of the mudguard and rider protection market” said Angus Staines, RideGuard’s marketing manager.
Angus continued “With our products being designed, tested, and produced here in Bristol we can keep costs down. We can ensure our quality control is second to none, and we can turnaround bespoke designs within a couple of weeks. Having 20 years of experience designing for the bike industry gives brands confidence that their corporate guidelines are in safe hands. Needless to say, there will not be any price increases in 2017.”
RideGuard offers a full in-house design service for customers looking for bespoke mudguards. The brand is currently set to launch a new range of MTB mudguards into the UK market.
