The Scoot 'balance bike' is alu and in stock well in time for Christmas

Ridgeback to release learner bike

Available in four colours, the Scoot learner bike from Ridgeback has a rear brake but no cranks or pedals.

Ridgeback brand manager Toby Howes says: "It’s important to teach the connection between squeezing a brake lever and slowing down. Not only for a safer Scoot experience but to ensure the child knows what to do when they get on a regular bike."

The £79.99 Scoot has a lightweight 6061 aluminium frame, quality alloy rims and Kenda tyres, and full bearings throughout. It also includes two seat posts, one longer than the other.
