Organiser expects 600 delegates to attend May cycle advocacy conference, to be opened by roads minister Robert Goodwill.

Roads minister to give keynote at Cycle City Leeds

Cycle City Leeds, to be staged 1st-2nd May, will be "the biggest cycling event of it’s kind in Europe in 2014," said event organiser Rory McMullan. Roads minister Robert Goodwill MP will open the conference and will be a keynote speaker.

Cycle City was staged in Birmingham last year and hosted the Get Britain Cycling launch. It is organised by Landor Links, publisher of a number of public transport trade magazines.

The two-day conference will be held in Leeds Town Hall and is billed as a "meeting point for all practitioners charged with transforming cycle use in UK cities." As well as the expo there will also be a public cycling exhibition in Victoria Square.
