Journalist and author of ‘It’s all about the bike‘, Robert Penn has launched a UK cycle tours firm, dubbed Bikecation.
Working alongside Jamie Paterson, Penn is to comprehensively cover some of the UK’s most popular cycle tours, providing both guided and self-guided trips around locations such as the Cotswolds, Cornwall, the Highlands, Hadrian’s Wall and much more.
Penn told BikeBiz: "We book the accommodation, transfer luggage, provide mechanical assistance, supply route maps
and impart local knowledge on the best resteraunts, pubs, birdwatching, sunset views and wild swimming locations."
Penn has ridden a bike in over 40 countries on five continents, giving up his job as a lawyer in his 20s to cycle 40,000km around the world. His bestselling book, It’s All About the Bike: the Pursuit of Happiness on Two Wheels has been translated into ten languages. It was made into a BBC documentary, Ride of My Life.
Paterson has over two decades experience of running businesses in the UK and USA and is an avid sportsman, marathon runner and cyclist.
